| Credit Limit for Financing
Cultivation of Oilseeds |
| The NABARD has been sanctioning from
the year 1986-1987 separate credit limits for financing production of
oilseeds to DCCBs covered under the National Oilseeds Development
Project (NODP) for increasing the production of oilseeds. |
| The NABARD has sanctioned separate
credit limit to TNSC Bank aggregating Rs.29.60 crores on behalf of
11 DCCBs during the year 2003-2004 to ensure adequate credit flow
for the implementation of the oilseeds production thrust programme. |

| Integrated Cereals Development
Programme |
| The Integrated Cereals Development
Programme launched by the Government of India during 1987-1988 was
continued during the year 2003-2004. The DCCBs have
advanced Rs.121.53 crores under this programme. |

| National Agricultural Insurance
Scheme |
| The Comprehensive Crop Insurance
Scheme which was introduced from Khariff 1985 season, has been
replaced by National Agricultural Insurance Scheme and implemented
during the year 2003-2004 by the DCCBs for the crops and areas
notified by the Tamil Nadu State Level Co-ordination Committee on
Crop Insurance. |

| Kisan Credit Card Scheme |
| KCC Scheme was announced by the
Hon'ble Finance Minister, Government of India, in his budget speech
for the year 1998-1999 and NABARD in consultation with RBI has
formulated the Scheme. The above Scheme was made applicable to
all the Co-op. banks by the RCS duly approved by the Government of
Tamil Nadu. The NABARD has allocated a target of 3,73,000 cards to be issued by the Co-op. Banks in Tamil Nadu upto the end of
March 2004 and as on 31.3.2004, the total number of KCC cards issued
by the DCCBs was 1,45,000. Further, NABARD in consultation
with RBI, Insurance Companies and Banks finalized the Personal
Accident Insurance Scheme (PAIS) to provide accident insurance cover
to KCC holders. The PAIS is being implemented by all the PACBs.

The Total advances outstanding for agricultural purposes like
ST-SAO, ST-Allied activities liquidity finance, MT-conversions, MT-Agri.
/ Schemes,etc, as on 31.03.2005 was Rs.1623.75 crores.
